Nikky is a multi-media musician, composer and sound artist whose work encompasses film scores, sound art, installations and design, with sound and field recording.
His ethos doesn’t elevate any of these disciplines above another, knowing that sound in any form has the ability to resonate with us deeply, whether that is an instrument, sound or voice. For one project Nikky recorded the sounds of a passing year and turned them into full pieces of music, by noticing the melodies and rhythms in our lives and nature.
Nikky didn’t study music or sound academically, but after accidentally studying architecture, instead dedicated his life to understanding and experimenting with that which had affected him so deeply since a child, music and sound.
Here are some examples across disciplines…

“He's full of raw musicality, ideas and possibilities; he creates music that really responds to a film's arc and subtleties; he thoroughly gets how to best shape a cue so that it enhances and enlivens the storytelling without overpowering; and he's an unusually sensitive and generous listener when you're finding a film's musical language together. Nikky is a seriously talented composer with rare abilities”
